Global Gourmet Catering is searching for a part-time Catering Event Line Cook in San Francisco, CA who can easily adapt to new menus, changing needs, and various event timelines. Depending on experience, you'll make $24.00 - $26.00/hour. If you've got the talent, we've got the opportunity!

WHAT THE JOB LOOKS LIKE:

Our Catering Event Line Cook works a varied part-time schedule based on our event calendar. Evenings, weekends, and holiday work may be required. Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

  • Following directions from the head chef, collaborating with your kitchen team, and coordinating with FOH staff to meet event timelines and keep meal service flowing smoothly
  • Assisting with loading, unloading, setting up, and breaking down kitchen equipment before and after off-site events
  • Preparing, cooking, and plating meals while complying with all food service and sanitation principles
  • Maintaining consistent food portions, presentation, and quality throughout service
  • Promptly reporting any equipment, operational, or food quality problems
  • Staying professional and collaborative throughout the event

  • 2+ years of professional culinary experience, preferably in a catering, banquet, or high-volume environment
  • Excellent knife skills and solid knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Exceptional food safety and sanitation knowledge

  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 50 lbs., work indoor and outdoor events, and regularly carry/handle kitchen equipment
