POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Customer Development Manager - Omni (Target) is the dedicated omnichannel sales lead for the Nestle Health Science (NHS) portfolio at Target, with primary accountability for driving digital penetration, retail media performance, and connected in-store/online activation across brands including Garden of Life, Boost, Vital Proteins, Orgain, and Carnation Breakfast Essentials. This role sits on the Target customer team and serves as the connective tissue between Sales, Shopper Marketing, Category Management, Digital Shelf, and Roundel - ensuring that omni plans convert Target's Guest into loyal NHSc consumers through execution and best-in-class partnership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the end-to-end omni plan for NHSc at Target - including annual PFME, trade, shopper, and retail media investment planning (Tentpoles: New Year New You, Back to School/Back to Routine, Prime Day, Immunity, Women's/Men's Health).
  • Partner with the Shopper Marketing and Media & Investment teams to build cohesive Roundel plans that drive brand awareness and convert the omni guest.
  • Deliver against digital penetration, POS, and margin commitments across the Target book of business.
  • Lead the bi-weekly Roundel status cadence; prepare discussion topics, brief in campaigns, and manage upcoming activations across brands.
  • Manage always-on and lean-in onsite search strategy with agency partner Flywheel; maintain the Item Priority List and align with Retail Media team on flex/optimization.
  • Track monthly actualized media spend, reconcile against margin agreement (Roundel commitment), and reallocate as needed.
  • Track competitor media campaigns, social posts, and affiliate activity on a weekly basis.
  • Own monthly eCommerce recaps and Omni POS reporting.
  • Monitor and improve content scorecards via POL, partnering with the Digital Shelf team on any updates.
  • Co-manage Pure Target Marketplace (Target+); host quarterly performance reviews and consume monthly sales/search updates.
  • Represent the Omni function at bi-weekly Cross-Functional Team (CST) meetings for all brands - preparing and presenting current campaign metrics and future activation plans.
  • Attend the weekly Ecom/Sales/Shopper connect to align on current and future activation plans, ways of working, and business support.
  • Partner with the Omni manager counterparts on shared reporting frameworks and ways-of-working alignment.
  • Lead the Target Omni margin agreement reporting; provide visibility to the CST on non-contracted spend, gap closure plans, and phasing.
  • Deliver quarterly Omni POS updates and email communications tied to Steven White's leadership cadence.
  • Partner with finance on the Media Spend by Month tracker and trade/shopper flex conversations.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years' experience preferred; minimum 2 years Managing Large Customers desired. Target experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing retail media (Roundel, Amazon Ads, or comparable RMN) and onsite search programs.
  • Familiarity with Target's guest strategy, Target Circle, and shop-in-shop formats (Ulta, Disney).
  • Experience with digital shelf tools and content scoring platforms.
  • Strong financial acumen: trade, PFME, margin agreements, and ROI-based investment decisions.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable operating in a matrixed environment across Sales, Shopper, Category, and Finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI; experience with POL, Flywheel, and Target+ platforms a strong plus.

SKILLS:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple brands/categories.
  • High level of organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to multi-task and follow-up when responses are needed.
  • Deep understanding of the assigned Customer and how to develop demand creation plans.

  • Problem solver with a solutions oriented mindset.
  • Must be a dynamic leader who can push past obstacles and overcome objections.
  • Understand the value of listening to customers, gaining insights and moving objectives forward.
  • Must be an articulate communicator who can quickly synthesize data.
