THE OPPORTUNITY


We are searching for an Outside Sales Representative to join our growing operations. This position will cover the Prairieville territory. The person in this role will be responsible for outside sales of CAT equipment management solutions for customers in a defined territory. This role is a hybrid between a "hunter" sales role and consultative sales to provide CAT product information to your assigned customer territory.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION

  • Serve as an ambitious and highly competitive sales professional for customer accounts in your defined territory
  • Pursue, build, maximize and successfully close sales transactions for customers in the defined territory
  • Become a subject matter expert on customer financing, licensing policies and procedures, warranty registrations, and invoicing
  • Collaborate with your Sales Management / General Manager to establish sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • Attain sales target goals by maximizing customers' loyalty and repeat business
  • Provide detailed sales reports, continuous improvement recommendations, and customer invoices to Louisiana CAT Management

MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales or related field
  • Required: Strong technical, mechanical, and business aptitude
  • Required: Strong skills in Microsoft Office software including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Highly Preferred: 2-3 years outside product sales experience
  • Highly Preferred: Knowledge or experience using CRM (Customer Relations Management) software such as Salesforce.com
  • Highly Preferred: Knowledge of Caterpillar product lines is strongly desired; other Heavy Equipment industry knowledge is preferred

  • The majority of this position will be spent on the road traveling the assigned territory
  • Must be willing to relocate within the state of Louisiana for future advancement opportunities.
