Summary
This job opportunity is for an AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, position description NGD2934000, within the 141 ARF SQ of the New Jersey Air National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position.
The purpose of this position is to supervise, establish and direct a planned, systematic approach of a quality assurance program designed to provide the maintenance managers confidence in aircraft, aircraft systems, products or supporting processes.

As an AVIATION RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0301-9, you will:
  • Provide preflight briefings to military aircrews, reviews and evaluates proposed flight plans reviews and evaluates aircrew currencies and orders
  • Provide preflight briefings to military and civilian aircrews, reviews and evaluates proposed flight plans
  • Perform the testing, and evaluation of new ARMS patches, updates, or releases and performs the Installation of ARMS on computers for new users or on replacement equipment
  • Control and monitor the resource and training requirements of assigned rated and non-rated aircrew for mission accomplishment and safety of flight
  • Work independently to provide aircrew with information and assistance for planning and conducting safe flight operations
  • Perform other Duties as Assigned

Military Requirements
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Qualifications
General Experience:
Experience, education, or training interpreting, explaining, and/or applying a variety of regulations and procedures and using computer and automation systems.
Specialized Experience:
Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training in the following:
  • Arranging or procuring transportation for personnel, cargo or freight.
  • Pre and post auditing of freight bills, bills of lading, and personnel transportation vouchers.
  • Coordinating and negotiating with organizations/personnel both orally and in writing to resolve differences/problems.
