Job Description
Job Summary
Under the leadership of the Outpatient Department Manager and the indirect supervision of Physicians/APPs, the Medical Assistant assists with the delivery of patient care in the clinic by maintaining clinic flow, obtains routine clinical information on patients/family, provides physical care of the patients, procures and maintains par levels of clinic supplies, and provides light clerical assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Transcribing of delegated orders into the EMR
  • Casting/splint application, maintenance guidance and removal
  • Obtaining specimens, including performing venipuncture

Required Qualifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Ability to sit for certification exam from nationally recognized organization (i.e. American Association for Medical Assistants

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One to two years' experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Associate's degree
  • Two years' pediatric care experience
  • National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technology
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician
The pay range for this position is $19.97 - $29.95. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
