Job description

Position Summary:
The Die Cast Operator will create, adapt, and adjust molds used in cast manufacturing.Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Constructs, adapts, and modifies molds for die cast tooling, metal stamping, and other molding operations.
  • Uses various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections before, during, and after molding operations.
  • Sets up equipment based on mold requirements, materials, and tolerances.
  • Executes production runs; conducts quality control testing before mold enters production cycle.
  • Maintains knowledge of materials and products.
  • Assists machinists and millwrights with injection molding process and equipment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Thorough understanding of machinery and mold creation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable safety rules.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Superior manual dexterity, muscular control, and delicate touch necessary to complete precision work without damaging valuable molds.
