The general hourly range for this full-time position is $20 – 26, Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training and education.

Humane World for Animals, a global leader in animal advocacy and protection, is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Cash Receipts for the Accounting department. In this position you will support the Revenue team of the Accounting department. Reconciles and prepares journal entries for the organization and affiliate cash receipts.  
This position is based in the DC, MD, or VA area to support the responsibilities of the DC office

Responsibilities:

• Reconciles and prepares journal entries for organization and affiliated cash receipts, as part of the Revenue team of the Accounting department. Prepares receipts in support of the month-end closing process;
• Prepares deposit settlement reports for the organization and affiliates and reconciles to bank accounts. Uploads journal entries for cash receipts into the accounting system and reviews for errors and ensures supporting documents are included with cash receipts;
• Generates Customer Reporting Management (CRM) batch reports and reconciles with bank accounts. Reconciles and locks CRM deposit reports;
• Audits daily bank download file for wires and ACH transactions and enters these into the Electronic folder, finding back up where it is missing, and reaching out for coding;
• Actively working in the CRM, keying in data from the electronic bin to ensure our records are accurate and up to date. Also addressing the pledge problems, making sure any discrepancies are resolved efficiently;
• Assisting at the DC office with making bank deposits. {once or twice a week};
• Uploads daily CRM summary deposit reports to the internal system;
•  Performs other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.


Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience, required;
• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in accounting, preferably revenue accounting and non-profit accounting, or another related field required;
• Strong math skills.
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures preferred;
• Proficiency of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook);
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn and tackle new challenges;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;
• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary;
• Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred.

This is a hybrid US position in the DC Metro Area
