Job description

The Cash Management Operations Specialist is responsible for providing operational support for cash management products and services for established business customers. This position collaborates closely with Cash Management Specialists, Cash Management Sales teams, relationship officers, operations teams, and product managers to support Queensborough cash management products for business customers and prospects.

This position coordinates Business Banking accounts and related services in support of Cash Management Sales Team, while delivering timely and professional service to Cash Management customers throughout the bank’s footprint.

Essential Functions

  • Support CMS efforts to review, define and expand current cash management programs.
  • Solidify customer retention efforts by providing a superior level of customer service.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all Cash Management products and how they interact with other banking processes.
  • Review and approve desktop Remote Deposit exceptions. Contact Cash Management Sales teams and account officers with approval for deposit limit overrides.
  • Review Positive Pay exceptions at appropriate cutoff times and update other operations teams for items decisioned to be returned.
  • Assist with Business Banking customer requests for temporary limit increases across all Business Banking applications.
  • Review Business Banking eDelivery email and user ID change reports and perform maintenance as needed to prevent disruption to customers’ electronic statement access.
  • Review outgoing eWire wires to confirm attached wire forms include customer signatures and provide daily support for wire processing including verification of international wires and entries.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational procedures.
  • Work on special projects as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting, or equivalent work-related experience.

Experience

  • Two years of related banking experience, including operational and technical knowledge.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Familiarity with wire systems and wire processes.
  • Experience with core banking software and other banking products, Horizon and Image Center preferred.
  • Knowledge of the deposit products and services, specifically Cash Management services.
  • Background working with a financial institution operations department.
  • Sales and Delivering Excellence service training and knowledge.
