Summary:
Lottery Cashiers are responsible for cash handling and processing and redeeming California Lottery tickets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).
  • Count in and balance cash drawer
  • Achieve company objectives in customer service by ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Process and redeem California Lottery tickets

Requirements
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cash handling experience required

Language Ability:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language.

Math Ability:
  • Excellent math skills; ability to calculate money accurately.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (Up to 8 hours)
  • Reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 25lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a small, confined, office-type room

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Excellent organizational abilities
