About the role:
Providing our clients with exceptional service is the foundation of our business. The Cash Applications Associate (Corporate) accurately applies payments, minimizing client confusion and alleviating collection efforts. The Associate works collaboratively with Veritext colleagues, exhibiting Veritext Values; ensures that all client (internal and external) communications are handled in a professional, timely and courteous manner; communicates necessary information timely, accurately and effectively; reports incidents to management; welcomes new projects and ideas; continuously work to enhance job knowledge while bringing value to role.
What you'll get to do:
  • Process & apply all incoming payments from Lockbox, EFT & Credit cards to client invoice(s) accurately & timely
  • Understand Company targets and strive to meet and exceed
  • Understand Veritext products and services, their value and commensurate fees
  • Resolves issues and escalate/communicate as needed to ensure prompt and accurate resolution; assist clients in various requests such as confirming bank information and providing direct deposit forms
  • Ensure that cash receipts, discounts and adjustments are accurately posted to client accounts in a timely manner (includes checks, credit cards and ACH payments)
  • Research duplicate payments, overpayments and unapplied cash and takes appropriate action to bring to resolution in timely manner
  • Strive to meet and exceed financial targets and metrics
  • Reconcile receipt batches to ensure they balance and tie back to bank deposits
