Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager requiring a GA or compact RN license and a minimum of 3 years of case management experience for a Monday–Friday day shift position.

Details
  • Hospital-based Case Management unit
  • Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
Requirements
  • Active GA or compact RN license required
  • Minimum 3 years of case management experience required
  • Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred for consideration
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include assessing and driving discharge planning, coordinating appropriate level of care, monitoring length of stay, identifying barriers to discharge, and following Medicare regulatory guidelines (patient choice, IMM notices, MOON notices)
  • Candidates undergo a clinical review process prior to manager review
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
  • Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of 1 full year before returning as a traveler
  • RTO is capped at 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
  • Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for approval
  • Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
  • No scheduling changes, alternate shifts, or special scheduling requests are permitted
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
