Job description

We are a growing personal injury law firm looking for a legal assistant/case manager to join us in our Greenville, SC office. We are looking for a team player who is organized and detail-oriented. This is a full-time position (8:30 - 5:30), please do not apply if you are not available for full time work. It is also an in-office position, it is not remote. A cover letter with your resume is encouraged but not required.

You will do great at this job if you are the type of person who:

  • Likes talking to clients and potential clients and helping people who are going through a difficult time.
  • Is proactive with communications with clients and team members at the firm.
  • Can handle multiple tasks throughout the day.

Legal Assistant/Case Manager Job Description

Job Requirements

Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and demonstrate acute attention to detail. Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills are essential. Must be a positive team player. Previous Personal Injury Case Manager experience is a plus but not required. Spanish fluency is also a plus. This position requires a significant amount of time talking to people on the phone and taking good notes.

Job Duties

  • Handle pre-suit personal injury claims from inception to settlement, which involves extensive contact with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers
  • Field and handle phone calls from new and existing clients
  • Follow up with potential new clients
  • Open new files and keep filing current
  • Draft documents and correspondence
  • Communicate with current clients and provide case status updates
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed
  • Assist with various marketing initiatives for the firm

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree

Starting pay is $18/hr - $25/hr depending on experience. Significant raises have been given to case managers who have performed at an excellent level for the firm.
