About the Opportunity

Edge Logistics is seeking an Experienced Carrier Sales Representative to join our Chicago office.
 

This is not a position for someone looking to maintain the status quo. We are rebuilding our foundational core and selectively adding professionals who bring energy, accountability, creativity, and a team-first mentality.
 

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys building relationships, understands transportation markets, and takes pride in delivering outstanding service.

• Develop and manage relationships with carriers across North America.
• Build and maintain your own portfolio of carrier partners.
• Source capacity and strategically cover customer freight.
• Negotiate rates while balancing service, margin, and long-term carrier relationships.
• Identify carrier opportunities, lane opportunities, and market trends.
• Utilize technology and market intelligence tools to make informed decisions.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Sales, Operations, and Leadership teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and activity within company systems.
• Deliver exceptional service to carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to process improvement, training initiatives, and team development.

What We're Looking For

• Freight brokerage or carrier sales experience required.
• Proven ability to build and maintain carrier relationships.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Competitive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Desire to continuously improve and develop professionally.
