Job description

Assists other carpenters in their performance of carpentry skills to build and repair buildings and other structures in the style necessary for the Polynesian Cultural Center. Works with sennit rope, poles, pola and lau to maintains the cultural appearance. Works on projects involving the construction of new buildings and facilities and the alteration of or the modification of existing ones.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists other carpenters in their performance to build new structures and hardscape, repair of current structures and hardscape as required to maintain the safety, cultural function, and appearance needed at the Polynesian Cultural Center.
  • Adds to and updates work order system with information, images and documentation on progress of work being performed.
  • Maintains power tools and equipment.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the maintenance manager.
