As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests by ensuring our hotel facilities are maintained to Hyatt's high standards.
The Role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining guestrooms, public areas, building systems, and hotel grounds in a safe, clean, and fully operational condition. This position performs preventive maintenance, responds to guest service requests, and completes repairs that contribute to an exceptional guest experience.
What You'll Do
  • Perform preventive maintenance throughout guestrooms, public areas, meeting spaces, and back-of-house facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, laundry, kitchen, and lighting systems.
  • Complete guestroom preventive maintenance inspections in accordance with Hyatt brand standards.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests.
  • Perform general repairs including painting, drywall, carpentry, flooring, doors, locks, fixtures, and hardware.
  • Maintain the pool, spa, landscaping, parking areas, and exterior lighting.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections while following OSHA regulations and hotel safety procedures.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure guestrooms are guest-ready.
  • Assist with renovation projects, room setups, and emergency situations as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous hotel maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders.
