Job Description:

Aerotek is hiring immediately! We are currently hiring for carpenter helpers to do work within one hour in all directions of Plainville, MA. This role will involve lifting windows, cutting material, and utilizing hand and power tools. You will need to bring your own hand tools to the job as well as a hardhat, boots, and a high vis vest. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits! This is a great foot in the door opportunity for anyone coming out of tech school or with 1+ years of experience. Pay scale will be $18 - $22 an hour to start.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform wood framing for large-scale commercial projects, including multi-family and other commercial buildings.
  • Execute precise cutting, trimming, and nailing of wood materials according to project plans and specifications.
  • Build and install stair and rafter systems, ensuring accurate measurements and secure construction.
  • Work with pre-fabricated wall panels and trusses, including handling, positioning, and fastening them in place.
  • Assist with commercial wood framing tasks from layout through completion, following drawings and instructions from site leadership.
  • Support general construction activities on site as needed, including material handling and site preparation.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
