Post Services Inc. – Chicago & North Shore, IL
Full-Time | $20–$25 per hour

Post Services is a growing residential remodeling company serving Chicago and the North Shore. We are building our in-house installation team and are looking for a dependable Carpenter Helper / Remodeling Installer who wants to develop their skills and grow with the company.
You will work directly with an experienced Lead Carpenter on kitchen, bathroom and whole-home remodeling projects as well as exterior door and window installations.
For the right employee, Post Services will provide manufacturer training in Ohio as part of our expanding door and window installation program.
Responsibilities
  • Assist Lead Carpenter with residential remodeling projects
  • Assist with exterior door and window installations
  • Help install cabinets, interior doors, trim and millwork
  • Assist with framing and general carpentry
  • Perform demolition and jobsite preparation when needed
  • Complete punch-list and warranty items
  • Protect customers' homes and maintain clean jobsites
  • Load and organize tools and materials
  • Assist with material deliveries and debris removal when necessary
  • Maintain company tools and equipment
  • Learn proper installation and quality-control procedures
  • Travel to projects throughout Chicago and the North Shore
What We're Looking For
  • 1–3+ years of construction, carpentry or remodeling experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
  • Carpentry or door/window experience is a plus
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Comfortable working in occupied residential properties
  • Able to lift and carry construction materials
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Able to work full time
Compensation
$20–$25 per hour, depending on experience.
Paid manufacturer training and opportunities to develop advanced carpentry and door/window installation skills are available.
