Job description

Description:

The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, preparing, and finishing projects according to company quality standards, production schedules, and safety requirements. This role works closely with the Assembly Lead to ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and ready for shipment.


Responsibilities:

  • Assemble exhibit, event, and environment components according to drawings and work instructions
  • Follow direction from the Assembly Lead to complete assigned tasks
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the assembly process
  • Report missing materials, damaged parts, or project issues to the Assembly Lead
  • Assist with project staging, packing, and preparation for shipment
  • Help with project returns, inventory, and material organization as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support team members and contribute to meeting production schedules
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:


Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in exhibit fabrication, construction, carpentry, assembly, manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work effectively with hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, diagrams, measurements, and written work instructions
  • Basic computer literacy, including the ability to use company software, email, web-based applications, and digital project documentation
  • Ability and willingness to learn and effectively use company technology and production systems
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Ability to follow established processes, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and safety requirements
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Assembly Leads, supervisors, and other team members
  • Ability to work independently when assigned while also contributing effectively as part of a team
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality with the flexibility to work overtime as production schedules require
  • Ability to identify problems and promptly communicate missing materials, damaged components, or other issues that could impact quality or schedule
  • Forklift or other material-handling experience preferred; willingness to obtain company-required certifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and perform other physical activities associated with assembly and production work
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and other production equipment
