Job description

Job Summary

We are currently hiring a Carpenter / Light Maintenance Lead for a Pre-Fab Construction shop in Lake Elsinore.

They are seeking a qualified Carpenter to cut, fabricate and install wooden and other structures according to specifications. Your job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. A carpenter is an individual with great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential.

You will also be responsible for preventative maintenance of shop tools and machines. Diagnose issues, make necessary repairs and handle service requests as needed.

Duties include but not limited to :

  • Fabrication of all wood products, including lay-out, cutting and assembly.
  • Perform light duty tool repair including Pipe benders, saws, threaders etc...
  • Familiar with Preventative maintenance as well as lock out tag out procedures.
  • Establish a tool replacement parts inventory.
  • Help to improve current process's and develop standard operating procedures.

Skills Required:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience as a carpenter. Must be proficient with tools and understand plum ,level and square
  • Good mathematical skills, including blue print reading and lay out.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Must be motivated and organized with attention to details.

Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in finish carpentry
  • Additional 1+ years' experience in rough carpentry preferred
