CARPENTER


Job Summary:

A Carpenter is a skilled tradesperson who constructs, installs, repairs, and maintains wooden structures and fixtures used in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Work with wood and other materials to build and install frameworks, structures, and finishes according to project specifications. They interpret blueprints, measure and cut materials, and ensure that all work meets safety and quality standards.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
  • Construct and install frameworks, walls, floors, and roofs
  • Install doors, windows, cabinets, and other fixtures
  • Repair and maintain existing structures and fixtures
  • Ensure accuracy in measurements and alignment
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean work area


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Knowledge of carpentry techniques and building materials
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong mathematical and measuring skills
  • Attention to detail and craftsmanship
