Job description

Position Summary

SunEnergy1 is seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter to support construction activities on commercial and utility-scale solar projects. This role requires frequent travel to project sites and involves hands-on carpentry work including framing, formwork, structural modifications, and general construction support.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry work on solar and construction sites

  • Construct and install framing, forms, supports, and temporary structures

  • Build and dismantle concrete formwork and assist with pours

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and site plans

  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

  • Support site preparation and structural modifications as required

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards

  • Travel to project sites nationwide as needed

  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and field crews

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of carpentry or construction experience

  • Experience in commercial or utility-scale construction preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

  • Strong knowledge of carpentry methods, materials, and tools

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 75–100%)

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
