Carpenter Project Manager information

What does a carpenter project manager do?

A Carpenter Project Manager oversees construction projects that involve carpentry work, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. They coordinate teams of carpenters, allocate resources, interpret blueprints, and communicate with clients and subcontractors. Additionally, they manage schedules, inspect work for compliance with codes and plans, and handle any issues that arise during the project. Their role combines hands-on carpentry expertise with strong project management and leadership skills.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a carpenter project manager?

To thrive as a Carpenter Project Manager, you need a solid background in carpentry, project management experience, and often a relevant certification such as OSHA or PMP. Familiarity with project management software (like Procore or MS Project), blueprint reading, and budgeting tools is commonly required. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills help manage teams and client expectations effectively. These competencies are crucial for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

How does a carpenter project manager typically collaborate with subcontractors and on-site teams during a construction project?

A Carpenter Project Manager regularly coordinates with subcontractors and on-site teams to ensure that project milestones, quality standards, and safety protocols are consistently met. This involves holding progress meetings, clarifying project specifications, and resolving any on-site challenges that may arise. Effective communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as the Carpenter Project Manager acts as the main point of contact between carpenters, other trades, and upper management. By fostering a collaborative environment, they help keep projects on schedule and within budget, while maintaining high workmanship standards.

Restoration Carpenter – Cleveland, OH
For the Builder Who Takes Pride in Getting it Right
You’re not chasing noise, attention, or chaos. You’re the type of builder who works with quiet pride — knowing that every cut, joint, and finish matters. Your tools are sharp. Your van is organized. Your corners line up clean. And while others talk about doing great work, you just do it.
If you want a place where your standards are respected, and your work ethic is noticed — Integrated Restoration is hiring.
Who We Are
We’re a full-service restoration company with a mission of restoring peace of mind to our customers. Our clients have just gone through something stressful — a flood, a fire, a storm. And they need someone who will rebuild their space with care and skill.
That’s where you come in.
We’re not looking for speed or flash. We’re looking for craft. We’re built on five Core Values:
  • Communication – We speak clearly and professionally
  • Learning – There’s always a better way — and we want to find it
  • Excellence – Good enough isn’t
  • Accountability – If you touch it, you own it
  • Reliability – We do what we say — and we show up on time
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Rebuilding damaged homes and structures — framing, drywall, trim, painting, cabinetry, and more
  • Matching finishes and blending old with new, including interior painting and touch-ups
  • Understanding scopes and executing cleanly, with minimal supervision
  • Coordinating with the team to keep projects running smoothly
  • Maintaining clean, safe, organized job sites
  • Showing up reliably and on time every day — ready, professional, and committed to quality
  • Participating in a rotational on-call schedule for emergency board-ups and tarp-offs when needed
What Success Looks Like
  • Your craftsmanship is consistent, clean, and compliments your name
  • You’re trusted by teammates and Project Managers
  • You work efficiently without cutting corners
  • You take pride in detail work — especially visible finishes like trim and paint
  • You’re dependable — when you’re scheduled, you’re there
  • You respond professionally when called upon for emergency after-hours support
What We Offer
  • Stable, full-time work — year-round, no seasonal layoffs
  • Competitive hourly pay, based on experience and skill
  • Bi-Weekly direct deposit
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with 2% company match
  • Paid time off
  • Career growth track to Lead Carpenter, Project Manager, or Estimator
Note: Carpenters are expected to bring their own standard hand and power tools. Specialty tools required for specific projects are provided by Integrated Restoration.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years of carpentry experience (remodeling or restoration preferred)
  • Skill in drywall, framing, trim, painting, and finish work
  • Light mechanical skills: patch-back plumbing/electrical/HVAC is a plus
  • Reliable and punctual — you show up when you say you will
  • Willingness to take part in the on-call rotation for emergency tarp/board-up response
  • Clean driving record and reliable transportation
  • Someone who takes their time — but doesn’t waste it
  • Someone who cares more about doing it right than doing it fast
If you’re the kind of builder who finds satisfaction in precision and pride in a job well done — we’d love to meet you. Apply today.
