Job Description

This role is ideal for an experienced carpenter with a strong experince in remodeling and deck construction. You will contribute to a variety of construction projects, applying your carpentry skills from rough framing to installation work. The position offers the opportunity to transition to a direct role after an initial four-month period, providing stability and long-term career potential.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry work on remodeling projects, including framing, structural adjustments, and finish work as needed.
• Build and install decks, ensuring proper measurements, structural integrity, and quality workmanship.
• Use hand tools and basic construction equipment safely and effectively to complete assigned tasks.
• Carry out general labor duties on the job site, such as material handling, site preparation, and cleanup.
• Install components and materials according to project specifications and instructions from supervisors.
• Execute rough carpentry tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials.
• Follow directions accurately and complete assigned work efficiently and to quality standards.
• Maintain a consistent work schedule by arriving on time and being ready to start work at the start of each shift.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices to maintain a safe and organized job site.
• Collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to support smooth project execution.

Essential Skills

• Proven carpentry experience with a focus on remodeling projects.
• Hands-on experience building and installing decks.
• Ability to perform rough carpentry, including framing and structural work.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and basic construction tools safely and effectively.
• Capability to perform general labor tasks in a construction environment.

Work Environment

You work on active construction sites focused on remodeling projects and deck construction. The role involves regular use of hand tools and basic construction equipment, as well as physical tasks such as lifting, carrying materials, and working outdoors or in partially finished structures. Hours follow a standard construction schedule, with an emphasis on punctuality and readiness to start work at the scheduled time. The setting is fast-paced and hands-on, requiring adherence to safety practices and a practical, work-ready attire suitable for construction activities.

This is a Contract position based out of Burien, WA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
