Foreman 

NU-YAR Construction 

Gray, ME 

 

NU-YAR Construction is seeking a Foreman to work at their client locations throughout Southern Maine and out of their Gray, ME office. 

Requirements of the Foreman:
  • 10+ years of construction experience with a strong Construction Management background. 

  • OSHA30 and RRP certified. 

  • Blueprint literacy. 

  • Diverse construction industry background with knowledge of all aspects of the trade. 

  • Ability to work independently and lift 100 pounds. 

  • Demonstrated carpentry skills with proven experience. 

Benefits of the Job:
  • Annual salary range of $90-$120k depending upon experience

Responsibilities of the Foreman:
  • Envision the finished project and develop a schedule to keep it on track, on time, and on budget. 

  • Take the lead role on assigned projects. 

  • Read and study the blueprints, lay out the project and assign crew members their roles. 

  • Attend pre-construction meetings. 

  • Perform site assessments. 

  • Create material lists, order materials, and coordinate material deliveries. 

  • Coordinate subcontractors. 

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, discuss financial matters, and address any concerns promptly. 

  • Create Additional Work Authorizations as needed. 

  • Proactively schedule all project details and anticipate future needs. 

  • Give direction and training to carpenters, apprentice carpenters, and laborers. 

  • Order and purchase all equipment rentals, supplies, and tools with approval from management. 

  • Adhere to all NU-YAR Construction safety policies, ensure safety meetings are held weekly, and enforce all policies with crew members.
