Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively works with tool bags on, in performing scope of work and should be considered competent at their craft.
  • Actively engages in work to accomplish scope of work.
  • Shows ability to be trained.
  • Shows willingness to follow directions.
  • Troubleshoots installation problems at hand and resolves issues as quickly as possible
  • From time to time, leads 1-2 Carpenter-Laborers in basic work activities.
  • Works in a safe manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to climb ladders, both extension and step.
  • Able to work from heights, such as scaffolding, forklifts equipped with baskets, and on multiple story buildings.
  • Able to perform basic construction, demolition, and cleanup activities with guidance from Foreman or Crew Lead.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as hammer, cat's paw, pry bar, speed square, utility knife, and chalk line.
  • Read a tape measure to the nearest inch, half inch, quarter inch, one-eighth, one-sixteenth and thirty-second inch marks.
  • Ability to proficiently use a trim nail gun, miter saw, jig saw, belt and orbital sanders, hammer drill, and router.
