    MISSION

    Bridgeport Caribe Youth Leader’s mission is to provide youth with diverse sports, educational, and civic direction helping them build the character and self-esteem they need to reach their full potential and value in society.

    DESCRIPTION

    The Education Assistant under the guidance of the Director of Education provides administrative support and project management for all education programs to ensure efficiency and productivity.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage and maintain up-to-date participants’ registration files (electronic/paper)

    • Maintain and prepare participants' data including attendance, pre & post participants surveys

    • Assist with student materials including program format and curriculum

    • Coordinate and communicate recruiting and registration events with stakeholders

    • Attend school and community events to promote programs

    • Assist in parent engagement via in-person and electronic communication

    • Schedule mentors and guest speakers for respective education programs

    • Oversee directives for in-office staffing needs i.e interns; and program facilitators, which may include assisting with coordination of inter-office clericals and program material.

    • Attend scheduled planning meetings

    • Assist in the training and development of new staff

    • Perform other functions/responsibilities as assigned

    Requirements:

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must have proven organizational skills, follow-up up, and record keeping

    • Must maintain a professional attitude and have the ability to handle confidential information

    • Must be self-motivated with an ability to research and problem-solve

    • Must possess exceptional writing and oral skills

    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite skills

    • Willingness to collaborate with community agencies and partners

    • Be able to work evenings and Saturdays as needed • College graduate and experience preferred • Bilingual – Spanish/English a plus
