What is cargo X-ray screening?

Cargo X-ray screening is the process of using X-ray technology to inspect and analyze the contents of cargo shipments for security and safety purposes. This screening helps detect prohibited items, contraband, explosives, and other threats without opening or physically searching the packages. It is commonly used at airports, seaports, and border crossings to ensure that goods being transported comply with regulations and do not pose any risks. Trained operators analyze the X-ray images to identify any suspicious or dangerous materials.

Continuous training and strong attention to detail are essential to overcoming these challenges and ensuring safe, efficient cargo processing.
