Cargo Transporters, Inc. is hiring a CDL A Regional Dry Van Drivers in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. The driver will deliver freight with average 2,400 miles or more per week and home weekly. Cargo Transporters is a family owned and operated leader in dry van truckload transportation, specializing in time-definite/expedited, and known for exceptional service delivery. We are one of the largest regional trucking companies in Western North Carolina. Our fleet of more than 500 professional drivers delivers no touch freight to our customers across the continental US.

Home Weekends | Benefits Start Day 31 |Potential to accrue 15 Days plus of PTO

Compensation

  • Average Pay (miles only): $83,000 annually; $1,500 weekly
    • “Standard Pay” with extras added on the base rate - 68 CPM base with average of 2,400 miles or more per week.

    • Detention Pay - $20 per hour after 2 hours
    • NYC borough Pay - $125, no forced dispatch to NYC

      • $2,500 - $500 paid upon completed dispatch of referred Driver, $500 after 30 days, $500 after 60 days and $1,000 after 90 days
    • Safety Bonus: 1 CPM for all miles driven, paid annually, must work the full year and meet criteria
    • Clean Inspection Bonus - $50-$100 based on results

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid CDL A license
  • Must have 1 year minimum verifiable tractor-trailer experience required
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse
  • Must be able to pass a required non-DOT hair follicle and DOT pre-employment drug test, MVR, and background check
  • No at-fault DOT reportable accidents in the last 3 years
  • No DUIs in last 5 years
  • No Careless/Reckless convictions (improper lane changes, etc.) in the past 3 years
  • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 80 miles of Rocky Mount, NC
