About DJJ:

DJJ, a division of Nucor Corporation, is seeking applicants for our Sales/Trader positions. DJJ is a world leader in scrap metal recycling, trading, and transportation. The Opportunity:

As a Trader, you'll sit at the center of Nucor's raw material supply chain - buying scrap and alloys from suppliers worldwide, then brokering those raw materials to customers. You'll build a real book of business, trade commodities, and develop lasting supplier and customer relationships. After an 8-10 week paid training program, you'll be placed in one of our district offices and a brokerage based on our business needs and your strengths. You MUST be willing to relocate anywhere we do business post training - strictly based on business need, no preferences. (See states/locations above)

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (The David J. Joseph Company (DJJ) will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

What You'll Do:
  • Buy and sell ferrous, nonferrous metals and or ferroalloys to drive Nucor's raw material advantage (Depending on assigned brokerage)
  • Prospect and develop new supplier and mill relationships
  • Manage contracts, payment terms, and supply chain logistics with customers
  • Collaborate daily with logistics teams, Nucor mill contacts, and open-market accounts
  • Travel to supplier and customer sites (30-60% of time)
  • Relocate to any district office at the close of training - and again as you advance 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business and or related field/discipline

Pay & Benefits:
