Job Description

This role is responsible for providing project finance and analytical support to the Global Business Development group. It involves assisting in developing structuring solutions for our customers and projects, including direct support for project finance models. As well, the role will support deep research on opportunities for business development including geographic, customer, market, and competition analyses. The position will also support the engagement of customer relationship development leaders within the Global Business Development group and other activities as directed by the Deputy Chief Commercial Officer or Executive Director of Project Finance in support of the Commercial Division initiatives.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in gathering information to identify and research business development opportunities.
  • Conduct energy market analysis and competitive research activities by collecting data, organizing findings, and preparing summaries for review.
  • Work with other divisions to support Global Business Development team priorities.
  • Develop strategies for structuring customer and project solutions.
  • Build and maintain project financial models and contribute to the preparation of business cases supporting customer relationship manager and structuring leads.
  • Prepare market (geographic, market segment, etc.) forecasts by compiling data from market research, historical results, and industry information.
  • Conduct research support for senior team member and maintain/develop Global Business Development team marketing materials.
  • Work with the strategic finance team, cost estimating team, and engineering and licensing teams to help verify inputs and calculations in project and customer financial models.
  • Develop presentation materials, including slides, financial analyses, and forecasts, for review by senior team members and leadership.
  • Support senior team members as they prepare for presentations to leadership, providing updated data, exhibits, and backup analysis as needed.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in building or maintaining financial models (including project debt and tax equity) and supporting presentations to leadership.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting, and scenario planning, with strong attention to detail.

Work Site Expectations: 5 days in office
Travel Expectations: Up to 10% as needed

Compensation

Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:

$135,000 - $160,000
