Description:

We have a unique opportunity for a X-Ray Technician to join our team at The Injury Clinic, formally known as Go To Ortho, a walk-in orthopedic urgent care clinic located in Lake Oswego, Oregon and Beaverton, Oregon. This is a great opportunity for a professional looking for an opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced medical setting. We offer growth opportunities, a collaborative environment, and on-the-job training.


Schedule: 12-hour shifts. Clinic(s) operate Monday-Sunday 8am-8pm. Part Time (2 shifts) and Full Time (3 shifts) Opportunities. Must be willing to work at least one weekend day. Must be flexible on working at both Lake Oswego and Beaverton clinics.


Responsibilities: You will be an integral part of the care that patients receive, providing the specific images required by the providers to treat and evaluate these complicated diagnoses and support for clinical staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Clinic Duties

  • Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively. Providing care and maintenance of x-ray equipment.
  • Capture high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and medical imaging practices.
  • Escorting patients to and from the lobby and x-ray rooms.
  • Work directly with the Orthopedic Provider to perform ordered x-rays. Adjust techniques based on the unique protocol and preferences requested by the individual providers.
  • Enter requested imaging orders into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to accurately reflect the specific studies ordered and performed.
  • Maintain precise patient records and documentation of all procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with providers and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Provide excellent customer service to each patient as the first medical point of contact at the clinic, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience.
  • Prepare patients for imaging by explaining the process clearly to ease any anxiety.
  • Removing splints, bandages, dressings, and preparing the patient prior to the physical exam.
  • Perform proper lifting and transferring techniques to safely move patients to and from the imaging table.

Other Duties

  • Cleaning, sanitizing, stocking, and turning over rooms in between patients.
  • Managing medical supply inventory and ordering as needed for the clinic.
  • Sterilizing tools and equipment using ultrasonic and autoclave equipment.
  • Perform both opening and closing clinical duties to ensure the facility is ready for operation each day.
  • Support the clinic in other non-imaging duties as needs arise, including reception (front desk) and general medical staff support services.
  • Remain flexible to handle other duties as clinic needs dynamically change throughout the day.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in a medical clinic setting.
  • Proficiency with digital x-ray technology and PACS software required.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems preferred, CareCloud and AthenaOne.
  • Familiarity and ability to comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to reliably commute to Lake Oswego, OR and Beaverton, OR.
  • Ability to work at least one weekend day.
  • Ability to participate in pre-employment background check upon hire.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Mobility

  • Agility: Frequent standing, walking, reaching (all levels), and maneuvering in tight spaces.
  • Stamina: Ability to bend, crouch, or kneel for up to 15 minutes.
  • Strength: Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull loads up to 200 lbs.

  • Mobilization: Safely assist with patient transfers, stabilization, and "assisted falls" to prevent injury.
  • Coordination: Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for medical tasks (e.g., splinting, using small tools, etc.).

  • Senses: Full-spectrum vision (depth, color, and focus) and precise manual dexterity.
