Description
Essential Responsibilities Resident Care/Direct Care:
*Assist residents with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, eating/feeding, toileting, transferring, and ambulation.
*Actively encourage resident participation in exercise programming and Community activities.
*Provide assistance to residents participating in exercise programming and other activity programs.
*Participate in setting up of the dining room as directed, serve meals to residents, and assist residents during mealtime as necessary.
*Assist with cleaning of dining rooms as assigned.
*Practice safety procedures and comply with established reporting of accidents and injuries to Resident Wellness Director, Resident Care Director, Wellness Nurse, or designee.
*Complete all orientation and training requirements as outlined by state regulations and community policies and procedures.
*Report all changes in resident's health status to Resident Wellness Director, Resident Care Director, Wellness Nurse or designee.
*Maintain current local and state certification, if applicable.
*Attend to other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Experience: Six (6) months prior long-term care experience preferred.
Testing: Pre-placement drug test and criminal background check.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Good organizational and time management skills. Exhibits a caring and compassionate attitude while articulating true concern for people. Able to work flexible hours and be available to respond during off-duty hours to community problems and emergencies. Possess good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Possess the ability to effectively read, write and communicate in the language of the residents.
