Title: Cardiovascular Operating Room RN (CVOR)

Location: Webster, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | Days | No Weekends
Shift Options: 4x10s or 3x12s
Pay Range: $38.03 - $57.05/hour (Based on experience) + Benefits

Job Overview

Join a high-performing Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) team supporting one of the region's leading heart programs. This opportunity is ideal for experienced CVOR Registered Nurses as well as experienced Operating Room RNs seeking specialized cross-training in cardiovascular surgery.

Work alongside a collaborative surgical team performing more than 400 open-heart procedures annually in a state-of-the-art cardiovascular surgery program.


Responsibilities

  • Provide perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and open-heart surgery patients.
  • Assist surgeons during complex cardiac and vascular procedures.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and surgical supplies.
  • Monitor patient safety and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, perfusionists, and surgical staff.
  • Participate in on-call coverage for emergent cardiovascular cases.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to quality standards.


Required Qualifications

  • Active Texas RN License or Compact RN License.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum 1 year of CVOR RN experience in an acute-care setting.

Alternative Candidate Consideration

  • Experienced OR RNs with 3+ years of Operating Room experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Cross-training into CVOR is available for qualified OR nurses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • CNOR Certification.
  • Cardiovascular surgery experience.

Call Requirements

  • Approximately 1 weekend of call per month.
  • 3–4 weekday call shifts per month.
  • Must live within 30 minutes of the hospital for call response requirements.
