Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Location: Columbia, SC

Position Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Pay Rate: $1572–$1672/weekly

Shift & Schedule:

  • Night Shift

  • 3 × 12-hour shifts

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse with a strong Cardiac ICU (CVICU/CCU) background to provide specialized care for critically ill cardiac and medical intensive care patients. Candidates must be experienced with advanced cardiac devices, hemodynamic monitoring, and high-acuity cardiac cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiac and medical ICU patients.

  • Monitor and manage patients with advanced cardiac devices, including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and Temporary Pacemakers (TVP).

  • Care for patients requiring ventilator support, CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring.

  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and cardiac-related treatments.

  • Care for pre/post cardiac catheterization and post-cardiac surgery patients.

  • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias.

  • Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary critical care team.

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow patient safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License

  • Strong CVICU, CCU, or Cardiac ICU experience required

  • Experience with LVAD, Impella, IABP, TVP, CRRT, ventilators, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring

  • Experience caring for cardiac/medical ICU and step-down overflow patients

  • Patient ratio experience of 2:1

  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications

  • Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management

  • Experience with post-cardiac surgery (not directly from the OR), pre/post cardiac catheterization/interventions, and sheath removal

Work Setting:

  • Cardiac/Medical Intensive Care Unit

  • Night Shift

  • Full-Time 13-Week Contract Assignment
