Job Description
AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a Cardiac Critical Care Physician to join our advanced, multidisciplinary team in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida. As we continue expanding our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), we are looking for a dedicated intensivist passionate about managing complex cardiovascular cases in a high-acuity, tertiary care environment.
Position Highlights:
• Full-time position focused solely on cardiac critical care
• Serve as a key team member in our Cardiovascular ICU with 14 CVICU beds
• Manage a wide array of cases including:
o Cardiothoracic Surgery
o Mechanical Circulatory Support: ECMO, LVAD, Impella, IABP
o Vascular Surgery patients
• Collaborate with CT surgeons, heart failure specialists, and perfusion teams
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical innovation projects
• Work in a 3-star STS-rated program with national recognition
Qualifications:
• MD or DO from an accredited program
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in:
o Critical Care Medicine (Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, or Surgery backgrounds welcome)
o Additional training or clinical experience in cardiovascular ICU management preferred
• Expertise in caring for patients with mechanical circulatory support devices
• Advanced proficiency in echocardiography (PTE, CCE, or equivalent TEE training/certification preferred)
