Job description

Faculty Physician – Cardiovascular Critical Care
(Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor)
Minneapolis, MN

Our organization is on the lookout for a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist to join the Cardiovascular Division at the academic rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. This recruitment is part of our ongoing program expansion, specifically targeting a critical care cardiologist.

The Cardiovascular Division is gaining recognition both regionally and nationally for its excellence in cardiovascular clinical care and research. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the leadership of the Cardiovascular Division and the Lillehei Heart Institute to further the clinical and academic objectives of the University.

The Medical School at the University of Minnesota is dedicated to advancing cardiovascular science through innovative research, training and mentoring future leaders, sharing faculty expertise with medical professionals and the community, and delivering compassionate, cutting-edge cardiovascular care to the most complex cases.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and a fellowship in Cardiology/Critical Care
  • Board eligible or certified in both Cardiology and Critical Care Cardiology
  • Eligibility for a medical license in Minnesota and DEA registration, with the ability to meet credentialing and privileging standards
  • Capability to obtain and maintain authorization to work in the U.S.
Compensation & Benefits:

This position offers dual employment through our organization and the University of Minnesota. The base salary ranges from $379,000 to $677,000, depending on experience and academic contributions. Benefits include a 401K match, wellness programs, allowances for CME, licensing, board, and DEA fees, malpractice insurance, and eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (501(c)(3) status). Additional university benefits encompass affordable medical, dental, and pharmacy plans.
