To thrive as a Cardiology Intern, you need a solid medical education, foundational knowledge in cardiovascular physiology and pathology, and completion of relevant medical licensing exams. Familiarity with diagnostic tools like ECGs, echocardiograms, and hospital information systems is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication are essential soft skills for collaborating with senior cardiologists and providing patient care. They work under the supervision of senior cardiologists and physicians, assisting with patient care, diagnostic procedures, and sometimes research projects.
