The job duties of a cardiographic technician focus on the operation of electrocardiography (EKG) equipment and similar equipment used to perform tests to measure cardiovascular health. Your responsibilities involve positioning the patient and attaching leads to different parts of their body. You then use the EKG machine to get an accurate reading. Technicians with additional training perform stress tests and tests using a Holter monitor. A Cardiographic technician can work in a variety of medical settings, including a hospital, general healthcare clinic, or heart health facility.
