Dispatcher
Location: Warsaw, IN
Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am- 5 pm
Pay Rate: Starting at $16.96 based on experience
About the Role:
Cardinal Services is seeking a dependable, organized Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation services for KABS. This safety-sensitive position is responsible for scheduling rides, communicating with drivers, and ensuring passengers are transported safely and on time. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, and helping your community, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
  • Answer incoming calls and schedule transportation requests.
  • Dispatch drivers using a two-way radio communication system.
  • Prepare driver schedules and daily manifests.
  • Coordinate transportation for medical appointments and out-of-county trips.
  • Communicate with passengers, families, agencies, and staff regarding transportation.
  • Monitor vehicle and driver status and assist with maintenance communication.
  • Review driver paperwork and complete required reports.
  • Help coordinate driver schedules to maximize efficiency.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Serve as a backup driver when needed.
  • Assist the General Manager with office operations and other assigned duties.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of office experience preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and word processing.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance required.
  • Must successfully pass required background checks, driving record review, and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, twist, push, pull, and assist passengers when necessary.
  • Must meet applicable DOT/FMCSA physical qualifications if driving agency vehicles.
