300 Garfield Street, Danville, VA 24541 Key Responsibilities * Deploy on-site within 1 hour of dispatch to any of the 9 DRHA locations to resolve issues that cannot be handled remotely. * Deliver and set up desktops and/or laptops on-site (PC Deployment) for new hires, refreshes, and replacements. * Provide hands-on desktop/laptop hardware support: maintenance, repair, failed-equipment replacement, and provisioning of new equipment. * Support existing printers, copiers, and scanners, including network-printing issues at each site. * Execute Move/Add/Change (MAC) work: relocating, reconfiguring, or installing equipment and software as directed. * Maintain and update the hardware/asset inventory (desktops, laptops, servers, printers/scanners, fax machines) and flag warranty or service issues to the Asset & Warranty Inventory Coordinator. * Support lifecycle management of hardware โ€” end-of-life notification, replacement coordination, and secure decommissioning/disposal. * Assist with on-site onboarding/offboarding tasks โ€” physical device setup, badge/access-adjacent IT tasks, and equipment retrieval. * Coordinate with the Help Desk Manager and Dispatch/Ticketing Coordinator to prioritize and close out on-site tickets within SLA. * Represent the MSP professionally on client premises, including sites serving elderly residents and youth โ€” comfort working in community/resident-facing environments is essential. Required Qualifications * Lives in or within a realistic 1-hour drive of Danville, VA  * 5+ years of hands-on desktop/laptop hardware support, deployment, and break/fix experience. * Working knowledge of network printing and basic network equipment (switches, APs, firewalls) sufficient to triage on-site issues. * Reliable personal transportation and a valid driver's license, given multi-site daily travel. * Strong customer-service orientation; able to interact professionally with non-technical staff and residents at community/elder/youth facilities. * Ability to lift and transport IT equipment (desktops, monitors, printers) as part of deployment and decommissioning work. * Willingness to complete a standard background check prior to placement at DRHA sites. Preferred Qualifications * Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive). * Familiarity with Yardi or similar property/housing-management software (DRHA's primary line-of-business application). * Prior experience supporting a public housing authority, non-profit, or other HUD/PHA-funded organization. * ITIL Foundations or equivalent help-desk process familiarity. * CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification.
