Responsibilities

Directs and coordinates the activities of the echocardiography staff.  Serves as the technical director of the department ensuring that all compliance, accreditation, and quality requirements are met.  The Cardiac Sonographer Supervisor serves pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • An appropriate credential in echocardiography:
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
    • Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CRCS), Sonography Canada
    • Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
  • Five years of clinical experience
  • Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • PREFERRED

     

  • Supervisory experience
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or Cardiovascular Tech program preferred
  • Work Hours:0630-1700Employment Type: FULL_TIME
