LanceSoft is seeking a travel nurse RN Dialysis for a travel nursing job in Decatur, Illinois.

Job Description & Requirements

Position / Specialty: Dialysis RN
Shift: 4x10s - 0700-1730 + 2/3 overnight calls. Every third Saturday, then on call until Monday 0700. 1 hour response time for call. Emergent cases only. Closed on Sundays, just the weekend nurse on call.
Avg. Daily Census: 3-6. 2 room, 4 bed unit.
Years of experience REQ: Minimum 1 year experience required
First-timers accepted: Yes.
Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend
Certs REQ: BLS required, ACLS preferred.
Is on-call REQ? Yes- call required as needed.
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No.
Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
Locals accepted: Yes- no radius.
Pending License accepted: Active IL license required to apply.
RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.
Special Requirements: Required Work Setting Experience: Acute Care Inpatient Dialysis. Required Patient Care Experience: Acute renal failure, Acute Kidney Injury, Hemodialysis, Peritoneal dialysis. Required Dialysis treatment Skills/Experience: Administration of blood/blood products during treatment, Administration of Mannitol/albumin/ 23.4% NaCL, Blood flow rates (Qb), Dialysate flow rate (Qd), Peritoneal catheter malfunction, Vascular access malfunction, Venous pressure. Required Equipment Skills/Experience: B. Braun Dialog. Required Initiate/ set up dialysis treatment Skills/Experience: Absence of disinfectant in system, Ability to cannulate AV graft, Ability to cannulate AV fistula, Tunneled/ Non Tunneled Catheter. Required Machine alarm troubleshooting procedures Skills/Experience: Arterial pressure alarm, Blood leak detector, Conductivity alarm, Venous pressure alarm. Required Post dialysis treatment Skills/Experience: Post treatment access care. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Airway management, Blood glucose monitoring, Infection control. Required Symptom management Skills/Experience: Air emboli, Cardiac arrest, Chest pain, Clotted access/poor blood flow rate, Disequilibrium syndrome, Filter blood leak, Fluid overload, Hyperkalemia, Hypotension, Muscle cramps, Pyrogenic reaction, Seizures. Cerner experience preferred. Teaching Hospital Experience, Community Hospital Experience, Trauma Level I & II Experience preferred.
