Job description

RN/CEP-Cardiac Rehab Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled RN/CEP-Cardiac Rehab Clinician to join our team at UAB Medical West. As a RN/CEP-Cardiac Rehab Clinician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with cardiac conditions. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each patient. Your primary goal will be to help patients recover from cardiac events and improve their overall cardiovascular health.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current license to practice professional nursing as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alabama OR possess a bachelor's degree in exercise physiology, exercise science, or equivalent and be certified as an Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine, Clinical EP preferred.
  • BLS certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire date.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac rehab or related field.
  • Certification in Cardiac Rehabilitation
  • Experience with electronic medical records

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting patient assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
  • Monitoring patients during exercise and providing education on healthy lifestyle choices
  • Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
