Job Requirements
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
  • Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
  • At least 1 year of RN experience in telemetry, critical care, cardiac cath lab, emergency, or operating room settings
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire if not obtained prior to direct patient care
  • NIH Stroke Certification required
  • Experience with EPIC preferred
  • Experience with conscious sedation, critical care, and advanced cardiac procedures strongly preferred
  • Ability to respond to STEMI callbacks in under 30 minutes
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical judgment skills
Responsibilities
  • Provide, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Administer medications safely and in accordance with nursing standards and policies
  • Function independently as a scrub nurse and circulator in the Cath Lab
  • Support procedures such as PCI, IABP, Impella, temporary pacing, TAVR, and conscious sedation
  • Monitor patients using hemodynamic data and respond quickly to changing clinical conditions
  • Serve as a care coordination point of contact for patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Participate in on-call coverage for emergency and urgent procedures
  • Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
  • Float to EP, IR, and Pre/Post areas as needed
