Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist to join a specialized cardiovascular team in Peoria, Illinois.

This position provides technical assistance during diagnostic and interventional invasive procedures. The Radiologic Technologist works directly alongside physicians, scrubs into procedures, and assists with the preparation and manipulation of catheters, guidewires, and other procedural devices.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ARRT-registered Radiologic Technologist interested in advanced cardiovascular procedures and a highly specialized procedural environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
  • Scrub and assist physicians throughout invasive procedures
  • Prepare and manipulate catheters, guidewires, and other procedural devices
  • Maintain sterile technique throughout procedures
  • Inject contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies
  • Operate radiologic imaging equipment safely and effectively
  • Document procedures and patient information according to established policies
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the cardiovascular team
  • Participate in the department's on-call rotation
  • Maintain high standards for patient safety and procedural care

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiography program
  • Current ARRT registration
  • Current Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Radiology license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working in a procedural environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Radiography
  • At least 1 year of specialized training
  • Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Special Procedures experience
  • Experience working in a sterile procedural environment

Compensation & Incentives

Pay Range: $36.39–$47.63 per hour

Sign-On Bonus: $25,000
