Our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) is at the forefront of cardiovascular care, delivering cutting-edge treatments and interventions to our patients. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic team. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures. You will be responsible for operating specialized imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to accurate diagnosis and treatment planning for patients with various cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Operate fluoroscopy equipment to visualize and guide catheter placement within the heart and blood vessels.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assist physicians during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Obtain and process angiographic images, ensuring optimal image quality for interpretation by cardiologists.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedules as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification and California Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy equipment and image acquisition systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
