Sales/Production Associate

LOCATION: Seymour

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time/Non-Exempt/Regular

HOURLY WAGE $12

Goodwill Industries--Knoxville, Inc. is seeking a full-time Sales/Production Associate for our retail store in Seymour. Ideal candidates will be energetic, flexible, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Summary:

Customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities in a retail store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, and thank donors for their donated items.
  • Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items. Sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise.
  • Cashiering: Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions by following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments.
  • Cleaning duties (including but not limited to) floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters. Report issues that require maintenance repairs.
  • Customer service activities (including but not limited to) customer assistance, pricing merchandise, fitting room, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and other sales techniques that may enhance the store’s sales and community image.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
