The Coater Operator is responsible for loading, unloading, testing, and operating the Spartanic Punch in the printing department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Operate, clean and troubleshoot printing punch
  • Conduct deck integrity inspections
  • Loads printing sheets in the punch
  • Inspect sheets as they exit the machine for proper registration
  • Operates the machine controls in accordance with operating instructions
  • Immediately update maintenance and management of any machine or department abnormalities
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly in accordance with 5S standards
  • Complete production logs and performs system documentation
  • Review with lead person work to be performed
  • Comply with documentation such as the follower and schedule
  • All duties assigned by printing Lead and management

Basic Qualifications:

Knowledge

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of machine operation experience
  • Prior printing experience preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Skills

  • Strong Mechanical aptitude
  • High attention to detail and judgment based on written procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to quickly identify production problems and ability to identify quality problems
  • Ability to work well with others and cooperate with team members and leadership team
