Gaming Associate (Customer Service) - Operations

Location:
Onsite at Bay 101 Casino in San Jose, CA (Cardroom Environment)

Thousand Palms is hiring reliable, professional individuals to join our team as Gaming Associates. This is a unique opportunity to enter the casino gaming industry with paid training, strong compensation, and clear advancement pathways.

What You’ll Do
As a Gaming Associate, you will be seated at live card game tables (e.g., Blackjack, Baccarat, UTH) acting as an active participant to help ensure games run smoothly, accurately, and in compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with dealers to verify gameplay for accuracy, fairness, and compliance
  • Maintain a professional and composed presence at all times
  • Identify and report irregularities or suspicious activity
  • Handle chips and assist with table operations
This is a low physical demand role that requires focus, consistency, and strong attention to detail.

✅ Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Strong basic math skills
  • Reliability, punctuality and integrity
  • Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Open availability for the casino's 24/7 hours of operation - Shifts may include late-night and overnight hours
  • Full-time schedule (must be available to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and all holidays)
  • Ability to pass a lifetime background check, credit check, and drug screen for state licensure
  • Attire: Business professional
This role requires licensing through the California Gambling Control Commission and oversight by the California Department of Justice Bureau of Gambling Control. Thousand Palms will support and cover the cost of required licensing.
