Job description

Resource Innovations is seeking a Team Lead for an Energy Efficiency Field Team in Ohio to spearhead our Inflation Reduction Act Program field delivery. The Team Lead is a key hire responsible for building and leading a dynamic field service team dedicated to delivering high-quality in-home energy audits and ensuring quality control for our HOMES and HEAR programs. As the Team Lead you will manage a team of customer-focused technicians proficient in BPI standards and related certifications, while also conducting comprehensive in-home energy audits with a focus on income-based program participants and collaboration with contractor networks. Your oversight will extend to residential weatherization, HVAC, and water heating installation inspections, as you review QA/QC findings to ensure program integrity. Working with partners to identify and implement effective solutions based on audit findings and client feedback will be key to your success. Additionally, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Resource Innovationsโ€™ program solutions.

We are seeking mission driven and career minded clean energy professionals with proven experience in energy auditing, building science, or related fields, along with established relationships within housing, rebate/incentive programs, and community development. Strong leadership skills, a focus on team building and customer service, and knowledge of relevant standards and practices, particularly BPI certifications, are essential. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises, coaches, and supports field technicians to ensure high-quality installation and service.
  • Review and QC field technicians audits and ensure energy modeling requirements are met.
  • Assist leadership team in recruiting and training BPI-certified Energy Auditors to build a skilled team.
  • Manage verification processes across programs, ensuring assignment selection and documentation completion.
  • Conduct onsite inspections, create inspection reports, and address any issues identified.
  • Implement energy audit protocols and QA/QC requirements to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must reside in a metropolitan areas of Ohio.
  • 2+ years experience in energy efficiency, utility programs, quality assurance role or in consulting, HVAC, or facility maintenance
  • Experience leading teams.
  • BPI Certified, or willing to obtain within 30 days of acceptance
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building science, construction, energy-using systems, lighting, and audit technologies.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Maintain current auto insurance coverage that meets state requirements.
  • Access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel; ability to travel 25-75% (limited overnight travel).
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position. The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $75,000-$85,000. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
